Meet Dr. Anh Bui, MD, PhD

Anh Bui, MD, PhD is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery, cornea surgery, and external ocular disease. 


After graduating with distinction from Stanford University, she received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of California, Irvine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, one of the top residency programs in the country, where she performed cataract surgery with premium artificial lens implantation and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. Dr. Bui then returned to Stanford University for her fellowship training in cornea and external ocular disease, gaining expertise in partial and full-thickness corneal transplantation, pterygium removal, and complex anterior segment reconstruction. 

Dr. Bui offers a full range of ophthalmologic care including comprehensive eye consultations, small incision cataract surgeries, pterygium removal, dry eye treatment, glaucoma treatment, and diabetic retinopathy monitoring. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Bui has contributed to research in cataract surgery, corneal diseases, glaucoma, and uveitis, publishing in top-tier ophthalmology journals. She is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Fluent in Vietnamese and French, Dr. Bui is dedicated to connecting with her patients on a personal level and making a positive impact on their lives. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and swimming.
