Dr. Kutzscher is a native Californian.  He did his undergraduate and medical school studies at Stanford University.  His specialty training in Ophthalmology was at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.  He then did sub-specialty training in corneal and retinal diseases during two years at the King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia.  

 

Dr. Kutzscher is on the clinical teaching faculty of UCSF.  He served as medical director of the Stanford Eye Laser Center.  He is chairman of the Charity and Community Benefits Committee at Seton Medical Center.  He does volunteer surgical work in Guatemala and as part of Orbis which brings surgery services and training to developing countries around the world. 

 

Dr. Kutzscher is married and has three children.
